Lesbian and Gay Newsmedia Archive

A black and white newspaper clipping

The Lesbian and Gay Newsmedia Archive (LAGNA) is based at Middlesex University in North London and houses over 200,000 cuttings taken from the non-gay press on all LGBT matters since the late Nineteenth Century. The newspaper cuttings are currently only indexed for the period 1937 - 1969.

It also has a reference library of more than 1,000 titles, and collections of banners, badges and t-shirts from activism in the past 40 years - from 'Stop the Clause' to 'Avenge Oscar Wilde!'
