Islington Museum

The New Islington Museum opened its doors in May 2008. Using its collection it explores the boroughs history through a number of exciting ways.

The Museum also houses an exhibition space which has a wide programme of temporary exhibitions on during the year.

Keep an eye on our events page to keep you up to date with our current programme of temporary exhibitions, workshops and special events.

You can find the new museum underneath the Finsbury Library, on St. John Street. The nearest tube stop is Angel, or you can get to us by bus on the 19, 38, 153 or the 341.
